Billy Gene Smith, age 65, passed away Friday, August 21, 2015, in Abilene, Texas.

Billy was born in Plain View, Texas, May 25, 1950 to Parents Jack and Athalea Smith.

A Memorial Service is going to be held Saturday, August 29, 2015 at 2:00 pm at the Davis-Morris Funeral Home Chapel. Refreshments will be at 12:00 pm before service at the Funeral Home.

Billy married Paula Allen December 5, 1987 in Odessa, Texas. Billy graduated from Permian High School in 1968 and Odessa College July 12, 1995 as a Summa Cum Laude. Billy worked at Brownwood Regional Medical Center for the last 14 years.

Survived by: Wife, Paula Smith of Brownwood, Texas; Sons, Brandon and Wife Janet Pontremoli of Odessa, Texas and Trevor and Wife Carrie Smith of Odessa, Texas; Daughter, Amy Salazar of Rio Rancho, New Mexico; Mother, Athalea Smith of Odessa, Texas; Brothers : Neil and Wife Liana Smith of Fort Worth, Texas and Dennis Smith of Odessa. 14 Grandchildren and 8 Great-Grandchildren. Numerous Nieces and Nephews and many Friends.
