District Attorney Micheal Murray reports that several felony cases were recently heard in Brown/Mills County District Court, Judge Stephen Ellis presiding.
Jenaro Torres pled guilty to the felony offenses of Aggravated Assault with Deadly Weapon and Aggravated Assault with a Deadly Weapon – Family Member and was sentenced to 15 years, Texas Department of Criminal Justice, Institutional Division in each case.
James Earl Nickerson pled guilty to the felony offense of Aggravated Assault and was sentenced to 8 years, Texas Department of Criminal Justice, Institutional Division.
Brandi Lyn Stokes pled guilty to the felony offense of Forgery Against Elderly Individual and was sentenced to 5 years, Texas Department of Criminal Justice, Institutional Division. Further Stokes pled guilty to the state jail felony offense of Forgery and was sentenced to 12 months, Texas Department of Criminal Justice State Jail Division.
Jimmy William Jolly pled no contest to the felony offense of Possession of a Controlled Substance – Drug Free Zone and was sentenced to 2 years, Texas Department of Criminal Justice, Institutional Division.
Gerald Ray Dorries pled guilty to the state felony offense of Forgery and was sentenced to 15 months, Texas Department of Criminal Justice, State Jail Division.
