ScaffDue to inclement weather, Brownwood Art Association announced its First Thursday event will be rescheduled for Saturday, March 7th, from 5 – 8 p.m.

The public is invited to view the work of Louise Marie Scaff, an accomplished oil painter.

Scaff will be the featured artist of the month for the First Thursday event on March 5th 6-8 p.m. in the Art Building, located at 215 Fisk Avenue in Brownwood.

“Oils are my preferred medium. Painting has allowed me to express my creativity. Preserving moments in time to offer as a gift to my family and friends brings fulfillment,” said Scaff.

Scaff has had entries accepted several times in the Stars of Texas Art Show.  She has been a recipient of the Purchasers Award and Honorable Mention recognition.  Scaff does commission work for portraits or landscapes.

The event includes a reception from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. and a chance for local residents to meet the featured artist and network with BAA members.  Artists and exhibits on display are from both BAA members and guest artists.
