Plans are in place for a dramatic start — and a comedic finale — to Thursday’s “night on the town” as the Lyric Performing Arts Company holds its grand reopening of the historic Lyric Theatre.
The company will stage the Cole Porter musical “Anything Goes” at 7:30 p.m. Thursday and nine performances will follow this month. But the opening night ceremonies will feature a gala that will get under way at 5:45 p.m.
“The Lyric board is very excited about our rapidly approaching grand opening celebration Thursday, Dec. 11,” Hank Hunter, LPAC board member and chairman of the grand opening committee, said Monday. “I want to first and foremost say… get online and get your tickets today. This will be a wonderful and historic Brownwood event you will not want to miss.”
