Brownwood Art Association Extends Deadline for Community Art Show

ArtAssociationLogoThe Brownwood Art Association extended the entry and drop off deadline for entries in the annual Community Art Show to September 18th noon-6p.m.

A call for entries is being made by the Brownwood Art Association, and local artists are invited to participate in the annual Community Art Show.  The show will open on September 19th and run through September 30th.  Artists of all ages are invited to participate.  The show is open to the public and open to entries of any medium oil, drawing, acrylics, sculpture, etc.

People’s Choice awards will be given the weekend of the Brownwood Reunion Celebration.  1st place will receive $100, 2nd will earn $50 and third place will receive $25.  All winners will also receive a year’s membership the Brownwood Art Association.

There will be a $5 submission fee to enter the show with a limit of 3 pieces per artist.  All art work must be ready to hang.  Artists are asked to keep in mind that this is a community art show which is open to all ages.

 

Drop off dates are underway.  The last two days for drop off are as follows:

September 17th 10 a.m-4 p.m.
September 18th 12 a.m-6 p.m

Artwork is to be brought to the Brownwood Art Center located at 215 Fisk.

Friday, September 19th from 5 p.m-8 p.m
Saturday, September 20th from 10 a.m 6 p.m
Sunday, September 21st from 1 p.m-4 p.m

Voting for the People’s Choices award will end Sunday at 3 p.m.
