May2014HPU

The Early Chamber’s Business Spotlight for the month of May is Howard Payne University.  Founded in 1889, Howard Payne University is a Christ-centered academic community dedicated to excellence by developing and equipping the whole person for intellectual inquiry, personal and professional integrity, and service to God and humanity.

HPU students choose from more than 100 majors, minors and pre-professional programs in six schools: business, Christian studies, education, humanities, music and fine arts, and science and mathematics. The university also offers four graduate degrees – the Master of Arts in Youth Ministry, Master of Arts in Theology and Ministry, Master of Education in Instructional Leadership and Master of Business Administration.

Extra-curricular and co-curricular options include Model UN, Moot Court, Student Speaker Bureau and 30 other student organizations. Students also participate in five men’s and five women’s sports through the American Southwest Conference, as well as a wide variety of intramural sports.

The university was ranked eighth in the “Best Value Schools” and 14th of the ranked institutions in the “Best Regional College of the West” category in U.S. News & World Report’s “Best Colleges” 2014 edition.

For more information, contact HPU’s Office of Admission at (325) 649-8020 or [email protected].

The Early Chamber appreciates all members and takes this opportunity to feature a business monthly by personally visiting and thanking them for being loyal supporters of the chamber and the community.   In appreciation, a potted plant was presented to HPU officials by the Early Chamber board members, ambassadors and staff.
