Law Enforcement Blotter 5/22

Wednesday, May 21

*7:24 AM – Brownwood Police were dispatched to the 1900 block of 1st Street regarding two unwanted subjects that were inside the complainants home and the complainant wished to have trespass warnings issued to the subjects.  According to the report, it was later determined that a musical instrument had been stolen and the complainant wished to file charges.

*7:54 AM – Brownwood Police made a traffic stop in the 900 block of 10th Street.  According to the report, the driver was found to have a suspended driver’s license and multiple convictions for driving with a suspended license.  The driver, identified as 48-year-old Mark Myron Crawford, was arrested for driving while license invalid with previous convictions.

*8:00 AM – Brownwood Police were called to a convenience store in the 600 block of W. Commerce, Stripes, regarding theft.  According to the report, a male subject had purchased a lighter from the store and then took and concealed a second lighter without paying for it and then left on foot.

*9:00 AM – A Brown County Sheriff’s deputy was dispatched to the 1200 block of County Road 439 for a report of unauthorized use of a motor vehicle. According to the report, the complainant advised sometime between 9:30 PM on May 20th and 8:00 AM on May 21, a 1988 Chevy S10 pickup was taken from his dairy without his permission. The complainant named a suspect who had been at the dairy and had been asked to leave since he did not work there, the report states.  The suspect left the area about the same time the vehicle came up missing according to the report.

*6:39 PM – A Brown County deputy was dispatched to a residence in Schooner Drive, in May, TX regarding a report of fraud.  The complainant advised that she received a letter from Capital 1 Bank (USA), N.A. asking for her to “verify some information to give her a final decision” on a credit card she had not applied for.

*The Brownwood City Marshal arrested 25-year-old Norma Linda Correa of Brownwood on a warrant related to assault family violence.

*Brown County Sheriff’s Office arrested 24-year-old Robert Lynch of San Antonio on a Brown County warrant related to the theft of a fire arm and a Medina County warrant related to failure to register as a sex offender.

*Brownwood Police arrested 27-year-old Maricela Vogel of Brownwood on a warrant related to theft of service equal or greater than $500 less than $1500.

*Brown County Sheriff’s Office arrested 27-year-old Leah Yabut of Brownwood on a surety withdrawal related to possession of a controlled substance in a drug free zone and possession of marijuana less than 2 ounces.

Thursday, May 22

* Brown County Sheriff’s Office arrested 27-year-old Chaplin Cheyenne Delarosa of Brownwood for possession of a controlled substance penalty group 1 less than 1 gram.

*Brown County Sheriff’s Office arrested 43-year-old Sharon Larue Shaffer of Brownwood on a surety withdrawal related to possession of marijuana.

All arrestees are considered innocent until proven guilty in a court of law. Blotter information compiled from local law enforcement reports and jail records.
