Wednesday, April 9
*Brown County Sheriff’s Deputy Joe Thomas was dispatched to a property on Buckview Road regarding a nuisance abatement. The complainant reported that his neighbor had trash piled up in the yard, which was being spread around by animals and that waste was flowing onto the ground from the residence’s septic tank.
Thursday, April 10
*8:12 AM – Brown County Sheriff’s Deputy Shade Tidwell was dispatched to a residence on County Road 223 near Brookesmith, regarding the theft of oil field equipment. According to the report, items stolen included ground wire, a fluid level tester, a generator, a poly-welder, and several drill bits for the ground. The total cost of the items was estimated to be $31,225, the report states. No suspects were identified at the time of this report.
*1:50 PM – Brown County Sheriff’s Deputy Shade Tidwell was dispatched to a property on FM 2525 in regarding theft. According to the report, the complainant stated that an auger for a tractor had been stolen from outside of his property. An exact price for the stolen auger could not be provided; however, it was estimated to be worth more than $500.00 and a possible suspect was identified, the report states.
*Brown County Sheriff’s Deputy John Fincher was dispatched to a residence on Blarney Drive regarding the burglary of a habitation. According to the report, sometime between 8:00 a.m. and 2:00 p.m. this date, someone had broken into the residence and stole a black, ornamental Chinese lock box. Nothing else was missing from the residence, the report states.
Friday, April 11
*6:48 PM – Brownwood Police received a complainant via telephone regarding identification theft. According to the report, the complainant stated that an unknown suspect had attempted to pass a counterfeit check on her old bank account.
*8:13 PM – Brownwood Police were called to the 900 block of Lillie Kimble Street regarding a domestic disturbance. According to the report, a man and woman had a physical altercation and a report for assault with injury family violence was completed.
*Brown County Sheriff’s Deputy Terry Sliter conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle for failure to stop at a stop sign at the intersection of Hwy 279 and County Road 551. According to the report, after an investigation, the front seat passenger identified as 52-year-old Gary Wayne Morris of Santa Anna was found to be in possession of 1.2 grams of methamphetamine and a Trazadone pill. Morris was placed under arrest for possession of a controlled substance penalty group 1 equal or greater than 1 gram less than 4 grams and possession of a dangerous drug.
*Early Police arrested 18-year-old Brandon Lee Abernathy of Bangs on a warrant related to theft.
Saturday, April 12
*Sheriff’s Deputy John Gramling was dispatched to a property on El Paso Street in Brownwood regarding theft. According to the report, the complainant advised the deputy that approximately $980 worth of property had been stolen.
*39-year-old Andrew Eugene Bradshaw II of Bangs was arrested on warrants related to driving while license invalid and failure to appear.
*Texas Department of Public Safety arrested 42-year-old Arthur Hardeman of Austin for driving while license invalid with previous conviction and on a warrant related to criminal nonsupport.
Sunday, April 13
*11:02 AM – Brownwood Police were dispatched to Wal-Mart regarding theft. According to the report, two males had taken a bicycle from the store without paying for it.
*1:47 PM – Brownwood Police were called to the 500 block of 7th Street regarding a domestic disturbance. According to the report, dispatch advised the responding officer that a male from a previous call was fighting and that he had picked up a brick. Several subjects were found to be in the street, the report states. This call led to the arrest of 43-year-old Britt Wade Stevens of Brownwood for disorderly conduct by breach of the peace.
*Brown County Sheriff’s Deputy Terry Sliter made a traffic stop on a vehicle for an expired registration. According to the report, after an investigation, it was determined that the driver 33-year-old Joseph Mascorro of Brownwood, had outstanding warrants from Pardons and Parole. Deputy Sliter also located a small amount of marijuana in a Marlboro cigarette pack that Mascorro had thrown down on the ground when exiting his vehicle in an effort to hide it from the deputy, the report states. Mascorro was arrested on the two warrants and additionally charged with possession of marijuana and tamper/fabricate physical evidence.
*11:16 PM – Brownwood Police were called to the 2800 block of Southside Drive regarding a domestic disturbance. According to the report, the complainant stated that she had been threatened with a knife by an identified suspect and that she did wish to pursue criminal charges.
*10:47 PM – Brownwood Police were dispatched to the 500 block of 7th Street regarding theft. According to the report, the complainant wished to pursue criminal charges against an indentified subject who allegedly stole the complainant’s medication while the complainant was incarcerated at the Brown County Jail.
*Brown County Sheriff’s Deputy Byron Langley, arrived at the Brownwood Regional Medical Center emergency room regarding a dog bite. According to the report, the victim was bitten by her own dog.
*Brown County Sheriff’s Office arrested 25-year-old Racheal Lynn Simcox of Brownwood for possession of a controlled substance penalty group 3 less than 28 grams and possession of a dangerous drug.
Monday, April 14
*Brown County Sheriff’s Office arrested 34-year-old Juan Guadalupe Morin of Comanche for possession of a controlled substance penalty group 1 equal or greater than 4 gram less than 200 grams, tamper/fabricate physical evidence, possession of marijuana less than 2 ounces, and on warrants related to expired registration, no driver’s license, and failure to appear.
