Funeral services for Charles Fredrick Mahrenholz, age 96, of Brownwood, will be at 2:00 PM, Friday, April 18, 2014 in the Heritage Chapel of Alexander Memorial Park in Evansville, Indiana. The family will receive friends at Heartland Funeral Home of Early on Tuesday, April 15, 2014 from 6:00 until 8:00 PM.
Mr. Mahrenholz died Sunday April 13, 2014 in Brownwood.
Charles was born on February 7, 1918 in Evansville, Indiana. He married Wilma Alberta Brown in August of 1936 and lived most of his life in Indiana working as a carpenter. He served his country in World War II in the United States Marine Corps. He had been a resident of Brownwood since 1998.
Charles is survived by three sons, Charles R. Mahrenholz and wife Sandra of Indiana, Bill Mahrenholz and wife Nancy of Indiana, and Bob Mahrenholz of California; a daughter, Christina Petty of Brownwood; 14 grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren, and 15 great-great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his wife Alberta Mahrenholz, and a son, Mike Mahrenholz.
