The Brownwood/Brown County Health Department, Public Health Preparedness Office has selected Steve Bales as the Public Health Preparedness (PHP) Volunteer of the Year.
Mr. Bales has proven his dedication to a safer and healthier Brownwood and Brown County by volunteering numerous hours to the mission and work of the PHP program.
“I don’t mind volunteering my time when I know it’s a worthwhile effort, and it is always fun to work with good people. All the volunteers put forth a good effort to make everything come together,” Bales said.
Mr. Bales assisted with the State Guard exercise, served as a station leader at the SNS Flu Clinic, aided in the completion of the annual SNS warehouse inventory update, and has assisted the PHP program in numerous other tasks.
“Volunteers like Mr. Bales are an invaluable asset to the community,” said Cliff Karnes, Public Health Preparedness Coordinator.”
