Monday evening March 31, 2014 is the date set for the 2014 Brown County Ag Day. It will be held at the Brown County Fairgrounds on Hwy 377 South. The program will be conducted by the Texas A&M AgriLife Extension Service Brown County Office.
Ag Day will begin with a hamburger dinner sponsored by the Brown County Farm Bureau starting at 5:30p.m.. Topics for the Ag Day program include:
– Livestock Liability/Fence In
– Hay Quality and Interpreting Hay Analysis Results
– Prussic Acid Poisoning of Livestock
Speakers for the Ag Day program are Regan Beck, Assistant General Counsel for Texas Farm Bureau; Dr. Jason Banta, Extension Beef Cattle Specialist; Jonathon Harrelson, Field Representative, Texas Farm Bureau.
There will be a $10 registration fee payable at the door. Those planning to attend Ag Day on March 31st are asked to RSVP by contacting the Brown County Extension Office at 325-646-0386 by March 28, 2014 so that appropriate meal plans can be made.
Two (2) CEU’s will be offered to licensed pesticide applicators.
