Final Voting Results in Brown County Republican Primary Election

Voting results are in for all precincts in the Brown County Primary Elections with 6,375 voters casting their ballots.

Incumbent Ray West for Brown County Judge edged out his competitors with 50.06% of the vote narrowly missing a runoff election. West will move on to the General Election in November to face Joe Cooksey (Independent).

Brown County Commissioner incumbents Joel Kelton and Larry Traweek also won their races to keep their seats for another term.

Challenger Sam Moss for Brown County Court at Law judge defeated incumbent Frank Griffin.

Three races will move to runoff elections in May including District Clerk between Brenda Arp and Cheryl Jones.  There will also be a runoff between Bob Wall and Mike Holder for Justice of the Peace Precinct 2 and between C.T. Ham and Roy Parrack for Constable Precinct 3.

Runoff elections will be held May 27th with early voting beginning May 19th.
