Felony Offenders Sentenced in District Court

BrownCountyDistrictCourtLogoDistrict Attorney Micheal Murray reports that a felony case was recently heard in Brown/Mills County District Court, Judge Stephen Ellis presiding.

Jason Rosas pled guilty to the felony offenses of Money Laundering and Engaging in Organized Criminal Activity-Theft and was sentenced to 10 years, Texas Department of Criminal Justice Institutional Division.  Further, Rosas pled guilty to the state jail felony offense of Possession of a Controlled Substance and was sentenced to 18 months, Texas Department of Criminal Justice, State Jail Division.

David White pled guilty to the felony offense of Burglary of a Habitation and was sentenced to 7 years, Texas Department of Criminal Justice, Institutional Division.

Preston Bishop pled no contest to the felony offense of Theft over $20,000 under $100,000 and was sentenced to 6 years, Texas Department of Criminal Justice, Institutional Division.  Further, Bishop, on probation for the state jail felony offense of Theft over $1500 under $20,000 was adjudicated and sentenced to 2 years, Texas Department of Criminal Justice, State Jail Division.

Dustin Lee McFarland pled guilty to the felony offense of Possession of a Controlled Substance and was sentenced to 12 months, Texas Department of Criminal Justice, State Jail Division.
