Dorothy Florence Cummins Bostick was born April 21, 1924 in Encino, New Mexico to Lawrence and Nimmie Cummins. She graduated from Lake Arthur High School where she met the love of her life, Cecil Bostick.

She married Cecil Bostick on July 21, 1946 in Lake Arthur, New Mexico until moving to Brownwood, Texas in 1969.

She was an active member of First United Methodist Church in Brownwood with involvement in the UMW and the Woman’s Club until she moved to San Antonio in 1988. While there she was member of Windcrest United Methodist Church.  Dorothy Exemplified Christian principles in the way she loved her husband and raised her children.  You couldn’t be fooled by her short stature because he personality and joy filled any room she entered.  She was most proud of the honor of being a mother and she was blessed with the great joy of also being a grandmother and great-grandmother.

She is survived by her husband of 67 years, Cecil Bostick; two children, Larry Bostick and wife Angelia of Brownwood, Texas; daughter Patricia Russell of San Antonio, Texas; two grandchildren, Alayna Reyes and husband Justin of Longview, Texas and Caleb Bostick of Brownwood, Texas; one great-grandchild, Hayden Reyes; one brother, Gurvis Cummins and wife June of Montana.
