Funeral Services for Melba Grace McBride, age 85, of May, Texas will be held 2:00 PM Monday, October 7, 2013 at the Heartland Funeral Home.  Interment will follow in the Pleasant Valley Cemetery.  The family will receive friends 6:00 – 8:00 PM Sunday at the funeral home.  She passed away Friday, October 4, 2013 at Brownwood Regional Medical Center.

Melba Grace was born January 6, 1928 in Rising Star, Texas to Robert and Myrtle Jacobs Coffee.  On September 21, 1946 she was married to Harold Leon McBride in Comanche, Texas.  She was a lifetime resident of this area, attended the Haven of Hope Church and was a rancher.

Daughters:       Linda Boone and husband Randal of Allen, Texas

Rebecca Joyce McBride Jernigan of Brownwood, Texas

Son:                Adrian Daniel McBride and wife Marla of Newkirk, Oklahoma

Sisters:           Lillie Mae Brown of Comanche, Texas

Myrtie Storey of Brownwood, Texas

12 grandchildren, numerous great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, daughter Christine Graham and by an infant son.
