Nominees for Brownwood High School Homecoming Queen were recently announced and Homecoming festivities are getting underway. Five seniors were chosen by their peers, a vote by the student body will determine which of these lovely girls will be the Brownwood High School 2013 Homecoming Queen.

All nominees were excited to have been selected for the honor to represent their school and possibly be the next BHS Homecoming Queen.
This year’s Homecoming Queen will be announced and crowned Friday night at Gordon Wood Stadium as the Brownwood Lions faces the Snyder Tigers.
Below are short biographies of each nominee:
Abby Adams Abby Adams is the daughter of Tommy Adams and Ken & Lisa Winton. She is a member of National Honor Society, Choices, Key Club, and Student Council. She is also Brownwood’s varsity cheerleading captain. Abby currently works as a waitress at the Runaway Train Cafe. She plans on attending the University of California in Los Angeles after graduation. |

Faith Bailey Faith Bailey, the daughter of Dr. Greg and Melanie Bailey, has been a student in the Brownwood school district since her first grade year. Over the past four years, Faith has been involved in many programs at Brownwood High School, including the Lionettes, Women’s Choir and Varsity Choir during her freshman and sophomore years. She has been a part of the theatre department all four years and is the title character in this year’s production of The Little Mermaid. Faith is also in the student-elected Choices Program, the Spirit Committee, and National Honor Society, of which she is the Vice President. Outside of school, she is a member of the Austin Avenue Church of Christ’s youth group and is heavily involved in mission trips. After graduating from BHS, she plans to go to college to study Elementary Education and use it for mission purposes overseas. She hopes to someday become a full-time foreign missionary. |

Victoria Hood Victoria Hood is the daughter of Don and Rachel Hood. She is a member of the National Honor Society, is in the Choices Mentoring Program, and was a choir member for two years. She is a two time regional qualifier in the 1600 meter for the track team. In cross country, she has been team captain for two years and was a member of the first cross country team from Brownwood to every qualify for the state meet. She is also involved in the youth group at Austin Avenue Church of Christ. She is considering several colleges including ACU and Harding University. |

Naomi Rosato Naomi Rosato is the daughter of Michael and Kimberly Rosato. She is the fourth of five children and has two pets, a Chihuahua named Rocket and a Dachshund named Charlie. Naomi is a member of the National Honor Society, Choices, the yearbook staff and is on the Spirit Committee. She participated in track in 2011-2012. She was a member of the Varsity Girls Soccer Team in 2010-2011 and 2012-2013 and has been a member of the Varsity Girls Volleyball team in 2012-2013 and 2013-2014. Naomi is a member of Coggin Avenue Baptist Church, where she is active in the youth group, participates in Project Sweat and Project Arlington missions. Through her church, she volunteers with vacation Bible school, sings in youth choir and has been a part of their mission teams which traveled to Memphis, Tennessee last summer and to Uganda during Spring Break in both 2012 and 2013 doing evangelism in the slums of Kampala. In addition to spending time with family, friends and church activities, Naomi also enjoys doing various types of art work, painting and drawing in particular. After graduation, she plans to attend college and play collegiate volleyball; she is considering Palm Beach Atlantic University, Azusa Pacific University and Dallas Baptist University. |

Chandler Staton Chandler Staton is the daughter of Paul and Jessica Staton and the granddaughter of Eddie and Jeaneane Watson. Chandler attends Coggin Avenue Baptist Church and is active in the 180 youth group. She has participated in volleyball, track, choir, HOSA, National Honor Society, Choices Mentoring Program, and has been a Brownwood Lions Cheerleader for the past three years, where she is now a Captain of the 2013 Varsity Cheerleaders. She has received the academic award, Cum Laude, and will graduate on the distinguished plan. Chandler’s future plans are to attend Texas A&M University and major in nursing. |
