George Alan Pace

A memorial service for George Alan Pace of Brownwood will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, July 20, 2013 at Heartland Funeral Home with Pastor Ken Colegrove of the Brownwood Evangelism Center officiating. Interment will follow in Eastlawn Cemetery.

George passed away at home on Thursday, July 18, 2013 at the age of 61.

George was born May 28, 1952, in Sacramento, Calif. to Alfred Pace and Goldie Setser Pace Snyder. He has been a resident of Brownwood since 1974 when he was honorably discharged from the U.S. Army at Fort Hood. He worked at numerous jobs in Brownwood including Clarks Engineering, City of Brownwood, Ross Co. and his final position was at Kohler.

George is survived by his wife, Lynn; daughters, Linnell Holsenbeck and husband Charly, Amanda Goodwin and husband Justin; son, Jason Pace and wife Jacqueline, all his children reside in Brownwood. He leaves behind 12 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. He is also survived by two brothers Everett and Charlie; two sisters, Donna and Pat, his siblings all reside in California. He was preceded in death by his parents, Alfred Pace and Goldie Snyder; step-father, John Snyder; and one daughter, Mary Margaret Sharp.
