Three people were transported to the hospital Saturday after a 2-vehicle accident in the 100 block of Early Blvd just before noon.

Two Chevrolet pickups collided causing injuries and blocking the turn lane and the two inside lanes of traffic while emergency responders treated injures and cleared the scene.

One person was airlifted by Air Evac Lifeteam helicopter and two others were transported to Brownwood Regional Medical Center by ground ambulance.  Three others declined transport. Patient information was not released at the scene.

The Early Police Department is investigating the incident.

The Early Volunteer Fire Department and Brown County Sheriff’s office also assisted at the scene.
