Brown County Sheriff Bobby Grubbs confirmed that his office assisted in a Homeland Security warrant service Tuesday morning in Brown County.
Details of the warrant service were not released by Grubbs who stated that Homeland Security was investigating an internet crime and that multiple law enforcement officers were involved. There were 12 Brown County Sheriff’s Deputies assisting 18 Homeland Security officers during the operation.
Two homes within the city limits of Brownwood and one in the county were searched according to officials. Whether the investigations of the three residences were related was not confirmed by Grubbs.
The searches resulted in the arrest of 40-year-old Debra Lynn Noll on an unrelated drug charge, possession of a controlled substance penalty group 1 less than 1 gram.
The investigation is ongoing according to Grubbs.
