The Brownwood Area Chamber of Commerce held a contest this week to find the best decorated buildings and shops in the area to commemorate Western Week which leads into the Brown County Rodeo.
To help revive the tradition of Western Week, buildings and store fronts were decorated with buntings, flags, banners, and other decorations. First, second, and third places were awarded to the “best decorated” building that was registered in the contest. Winners will get a trophy, media recognition, a spot in the parade, and will have their names announced during the rodeo.
