Law Enforcement Blotter 4/26 – Arrest Made in Burglary Investigation

LECSmAccording to Brown County Sheriff’s Office, a Brownwood man was arrested Wednesday for the burglary of a home that occurred earlier in the month where jewelry was allegedly stolen.

According to BCSO investigator Vance Hill, on the afternoon of April 15th, a homeowner pulled up to their residence on FM 2525 to find 47-year-old Phillip Lemmons of Brownwood present under false pretenses.  The complainant was acquainted with Lemmons from years past, said Hill.  The following morning, the complainant noted approximately $20,000 worth of jewelry to be missing from a jewelry box, stated Hill.

An investigation led to evidence that Lemmons had later sold the jewelry in Brown and Taylor Counties, according to Hill.  Lemmons was subsequently arrested and charged with burglary of a habitation.  He is currently being held at the Brown County Jail on bonds totaling $50,000.  The investigation is currently ongoing.

Wednesday, April 24

*1:34 PM – A Brown County Sheriff’s deputy was called to a residence on Hwy 279 regarding the burglary of a habitation that had already occurred.  According to the report, the complainant returned to his residence after being out of town for three days and found that a window was broken and it appeared someone had entered the home and a separate detached garage, the report states.  It was uncertain if any items were taken; however the complaint wished to pursue charges if a suspect could be located, according to the report.

Thursday, April 25

*5:32 PM – A Brown County Sheriff’s deputy responded to a residence regarding a burglary of a habitation which had already occurred.  According to the report, the complainant stated that she and her husband had left the home unlocked at approximately 8:50 a.m. and returned shortly after 4:00 p.m.  She had entered the bathroom and noticed that her husband’s sobriety token was laying on the bathroom floor, which was usually located in a dresser next to the bed, the report states.  After looking around the residence, several other items were found to be missing from the residence, according to the report.

*5:46 AM – A Brown County Sheriff’s deputy was dispatched to County Road 551 in reference of trespassing.  A female subject was issued a criminal trespass warning at the homeowner’s request.

*Brown County Sheriff’s Office arrested 27-year-old Michael Biles of Robinson on warrants related to criminal nonsupport/failure to appear, theft of service equal or greater than $1500 less than $20,000 and possession of marijuana greater than 2 ounces and less than 4 ounces.  Biles is being held in the Brown County Jail in lieu of bonds totaling $12,000.

*Brown County Sheriff’s Office arrested 34-year-old Jimmy Dale Burns of Coleman on warrants related to driving while intoxicated/ repeat offender/habitual offender, driving while intoxicated third or more, and a blue warrant.  Burns is being held in the Brown County Jail in lieu of bonds totaling $29,000.

*Brown County Sheriff’s Office arrested 39-year-old Alicia Ann Cunningham of May on an indictment related to burglary of a habitation.  Cunningham was released on a $10,000 bond.

*Bangs Police arrested 33-year-old Timothy Lee Davis of Bangs for theft of property greater or equal to $1500 less than $20,000.

*38-year-old Jennifer Michelle Diaz of May on an indictment for burglary of a habitation.  Diaz was released on $20,000 bond.

*41-year-old James Paul Stone of May turned himself in on an indictment for burglary of a habitation.  Stone was released on $10,000 bond.

Friday, April 26

*Early Police Department arrested 32-year-old Justin Alan Daniell of Early for credit or debit card abuse and burglary of a vehicle.

*Brown County Sheriff’s Office arrested 38-year-old Alejandra Hall for public intoxication.

*Brown County Sheriff’s Office arrested 29-year-old Camron Mark Helge for evading arrest detention with vehicle.

*Brown County Sheriff’s Office arrested 45-year-old Tamara Renee Hicks for public intoxication.

*Brownwood Police arrested 21-year-old Antonio Martinez, Jr. on a warrant related to assault family/house member impede breath/circulation.  Martinez was released on $10,000 bond.

*Brownwood Police arrested 32-year-old Victoria Martinez Slayton on an indictment for unauthorized use of a vehicle.

All arrestees are considered innocent until proven guilty in a court of law. Blotter information compiled from local law enforcement reports and jail records.
