Students from the Brownwood High School Band competed at the Region 7 UIL Concert & Sight-reading Contest at Llano High School on Thursday, April 11th. The students earned a first division rating from each of the judges, and this, combined with the band’s first division rating at the UIL marching competition earlier in the year, won them the UIL Sweepstakes Award.
The band’s performance earned praise from contest judges whose comments included, “Great performance”, “‘Foundry’ was exceptional”, “Well done today”, and “This band plays very musically and with confidence. I enjoyed your performance.”
“Congratulations to the High School Band,” said BHS Band Director, David Lambert. “They did an outstanding job.”
