More Identities Released from Deadly Crash Near Cross Plains

Texas Department of Public Safety release remaining names of deceased in deadly Callahan County Crash which occurred on Texas Highway 36 mile marker 330, 6.1 miles west of Cross Plains, Texas on Monday.  The vehicles involved in this head-on collision caught fire.

The two occupants of the second vehicle, previously unidentified, were released on Tuesday afternoon.  The driver of the second vehicle, a 2006 GMC Pickup, has been identified as 41-year-old Kevin P. Byrnes from Midland, Texas.  His passenger has been identified as  26-year-old Brittany Elaine Underwood of Goldsmith.

The driver of the 2011 Ford Pickup was previously identified as 64-year-old Steven Wayne Pickett of Cross Plains, Texas. The passenger, 36-year-old William Bryan Partin of Graham, was the only survivor of the crash and was hospitalized at Hendrick Medical Center in Abilene.

All three deceased were pronounced dead at the scene by Judge Burley Taylor.  The bodies were taken to Higginbotham Funeral Home in Cross Plains, Texas.
