According to Brown County Sheriff’s Office, deputies investigated a criminal mischief case involving an angry customer at a local scrap yard who drove through the gate of the business when he was asked to come back during regular hours because the business was closing.
A Brown County Sheriff’s deputy was called to the 2000 block of Hwy 279 at 11:00am on December 1st regarding the incident. When he arrived, a representative of the business reported $3250 damage to the business’s fence and gate by an unsatisfied customer and criminal charges are being pursued, according to the report.
The customer who was driving a pickup pulling a double axle trailer with an older model van on it, had pulled into the business as the gate was closing, the report states. When employees asked him to come back another day during business hours, the driver of the pickup angrily left the business and drove through the gate before it could be opened completely, the report states. The vehicle struck the gate, knocking it off of its track, breaking its rollers and damaging its frame, the report states.
The report also states that the incident was captured on surveillance video and will be released to BCSO for investigation. An attempt to locate the suspect vehicle was not successful and no arrest was made at the time of the report.

*9:10 a.m.-Brown County Sheriff’s Office received a report of an estray miniature donkey on Hwy 183 S. in Early. An owner could not be located and the animal was caught by a cowboy and taken to the Brown County Sheriff’s Office. The miniature donkey is described as approximately 200 pounds, dark brown in color with a tan ring around his nose according to the report.
*11:33 p.m.-Brownwood Police were dispatched to the 2300 block of Southside Drive regarding a domestic disturbance. According to the report, the caller stated that a subject came into her yard and yelled at her to “call the cops.” There was no arrest or further information given at the time of the report.

*Brown County Sheriff’s Office arrested Theodore Allen Wooten for possession of a controlled substance penalty group 3 less than 28 grams in a drug free zone.
