Law enforcement arrests and reports released Tuesday, March 13, 2012.
Thursday, March 8
*12:10pm-Brown County Sheriff’s Office were called to a storage business at Hwy 279 regarding theft. According to the report, the complainant stated that someone broke into a storage unit and stole a 16-inch wood/metal cutting band saw and two metal detectors. A lock was cut off the unit, the report states. No suspect information was available at the time of the report.
Friday, March 9
*Brown County Sheriff’s investigators Carlyle Gover and James Stroope and a Brown County Adult Probation officer made a probation search on an apartment occupied by Valerie Gomez, 19, and Anthony Garcia, Jr., 21, in the 1600 block of Good Shepherd on Friday, March 9th. According to Sheriff Bobby Grubbs, marijuana, marijuana pipes and other drugs paraphernalia were located. There were also two minor children present, the report states. Both Gomez and Garcia were arrested for Possession of Marijuana under 2 ounces in a Drug Free Zone.
*9:30pm-Brown County Sheriff’s Office was dispatched to a domestic disturbance at a residence. According to the report, the complainant stated that her son had assaulted her and taken her vehicle. It was found that suspect has an Emergency Protective Order against them and had been arrested on February 23rd for aggravated assault with a deadly weapon. At the time of the report, the vehicle and the suspect were not able to be located.
*Brown County Sheriff’s Office received a report from a complainant regarding cruelty to animals. According to the report, the complainant said that she suspected that cattle she owns has been killed by her husband with whom she has been separated from since 1999. The husband lives on the property where the cattle are kept and she suspects he is killing the cattle in an effort to get her to sell the property, the report states. The husband stated that he did not know what happened to the three animals, but that he had nothing to do with it and that the complainant has some mental health issues.
Saturday, March 10
*11:40pm-Brown County Sheriff’s Office took a report regarding the burglary of a vehicle. According to the report, the complainant stated that while her vehicle was parked in the shop at her boyfriend’s residence, it was burglarized when the residence and shop were also burglarized. During the burglary, a stereo valued at $1600 was taken from inside the vehicle. No suspect information was available at the time of the report.
*Brown County Sheriff’s Deputy Nathan Land received a call from a clerk at a store on Hwy 279 stating that a woman had left the store with beer that she did not pay for. Deputy Land located the suspect’s vehicle at a nearby residence and identified the female, 33-year-old Mary Nicole Culp, by the description given by the store clerk. Culp was arrested for Theft Less than $50.
*11:09am-Brown County Sheriff’s Office received a report of Animal Cruelty. A deputy investigated the situation and found the animals to have food, shelter and water at the time of his visit.
Monday, March 12
*7:25pm-Brownwood Police were called to 401 W. Commerce, Wal-Mart, regarding possible narcotics located on the property.
*8:18pm-Brownwood Police were dispatched to the 1300 block of 15th Street regarding theft. According to the report, the complainant stated that her prescription of phenergan and another of hydrocodone were stolen sometime between 9:00pm on March 9th and 6:00pm this date. A suspect was named and the complainant wished to pursue charges.
*Brown County Sheriff’s Office arrested 32-year-old Dustin Wayne Lindley for Prohibited Weapon-Switchblade/Knuckles.
Tuesday, March 13
*Brownwood Police arrested 31-year-old Timothy Jason Knox for Public Intoxication.
All arrestees are innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
