*9:27am-Brownwood Police received a report of theft in the 500 block of W. Commerce. The complainant advised that he had been to a convenience store in the 500 block of W. Commerce and left his card holder and money clip on the counter. When he returned to the store, he was given the card holder and money clip; however, $71 which was in the money clip was missing, the report states.
*2:02pm-Brownwood Police responded to the report of theft in the 200 block of S. Broadway, at the courthouse. According to the report, the county inspector had noticed gas had been stolen from the truck sometime between October 19th and October 31st. The inspector stated that the last time (October 19th) she drove the vehicle, it had a half tank of gas and now there was only a quarter tank. According to the report, when she discovered the missing gas, around 8:30 on October 31st, she also noticed that the fuel cap was missing.
*3:58pm-A Brown County Sheriff’s deputy initiated a traffic stop after a male driver, identified as 38-year-old Mark Douglas Yancey ran two stop signs, at Carnegie & US Hwy 377S and Coleman and US Hwy 377S. According to the report, investigation showed that Yancey’s driver’s license was currently suspended and that he had previously been convicted of Driving While License Invalid. Yancy was issued a citation for running a stop sign and arrested for Driving While License Invalid.
*9:46pm-Brownwood Police were called to the Kroger parking lot at 302 N. Main regarding an unwanted older male who was harassing customers. According to the report, the store manager and complainant had asked the man to leave; however he refused. Police arrived and identified the male as 57-year-old Victor V. Gonzalez. Their investigation led to the arrest of Gonzalez for Public Intoxication, the report states.
*10:51pm-A Brownwood Police officer found a bicycle leaned against a telephone pole near Avenue B and Austin Avenue. According to the report, no one was found in the area. The bicycle had not been reported as stolen when the officer checked with dispatch, the report states. The bike was taken for safekeeping to the Brownwood Police impound until the owner can properly identify and claim it.
*Texas Department of Public Safety arrested 23-year-old Stephen Kyle Armstrong for Possession of a Controlled Substance Penalty Grade 2 Greater than 1g Less than 4g.
All arrestees are considered innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
