Tuesday, October 25
*5:35pm-Brownwood Police received a report of theft. According to the report, the complainant identified his elderly mother as the victim and a relative as the suspect. Stolen was a 3G iPhone 8G along with its cover, the report states.
Thursday, October 27
*10:44pm-A Brownwood Police officer made a traffic stop in the 500 block of 7th Street. According to the report, after the officer saw an open container of alcohol sitting in plain view on the front right passenger seat, he issued both the driver and passenger citations for the open container.
Friday, October 28
*5:20am-Brownwood Police were called to 401 W. Commerce regarding theft. This call led to the arrest of 27-year-old Kera Gabrielle McClung of Blanket for theft $50-$500, the report states.
*10:35pm-Brownwood Police were called to the 500 block of 7th Street regarding a noise nuisance. According to the report, when the officers arrived, they could hear music and loud talking coming from the back yard of a residence. Contact was made with the resident of the property and a citation was issued for disturbing, excessive or offensive noises, a city ordinance violation, the report states.
Saturday, October 29
*4:38am-Brownwood Police met with a complainant at the Brownwood Police Department regarding an assault. According to the complainant, he was assaulted by his wife in the parking lot of a restaurant in the 400 block of E. Commerce.
*12:15pm-Brownwood Police were dispatched to the 1500 block of Davis Lane regarding theft. According to the report, the complainant stated that his blue Pronto scooter was stolen from outside of his apartment where he had parked it to charge it. The incident was believed to have happened overnight and the complainant stated that he did not hear anyone during the night and did not know of anyone who would have stolen his scooter, the report states.
*1:10pm-Brownwood Police were dispatched to the 1200 block of Avenue B regarding the burglary of a vehicle. According to the report, the complainant stated that several of his tools had been stolen from his work truck sometime overnight, the report states.
*2:18pm-Brownwood Police were called to the 1800 block of Vincent regarding theft. According to the report, the complainant advised that a known male subject had stolen her prescription pills as well as some prescription pills that belonged to her daughter.
*6:12pm-Brownwood Police were dispatched to the 1300 block of 15th Street regarding a dispute over a weed eater. According to the report, the officer met with a woman who thought a man had stolen her weed eater; however the officer discovered that the weed eater did not belong to the women, but had been loaned to the male by a friend and he was walking to return the weed eater to the friend who owned it. The woman had attempted to take the weed eater by force and the male subject stated that his wrist had been injured during the struggle for the weed eater, the report states.
*6:52pm-Brownwood Police were called to 401 W. Commerce regarding the violation of a protective order. According to the report, the complainant stated that 26-year-old Mario Guerra was in the store talking with the complainant’s daughter and granddaughter. There is a protective order which prohibits Guerra from having contact with either of the two, the report states. Mario was located in the store, observed holding the granddaughter while speaking with the daughter and was subsequently arrested for violation of the protective order, police report.
*7:36pm-Brownwood Police were dispatched to 401 W. Commerce regarding theft. According to the report, asset protection employees reported to the officer that two subjects were observed concealing store merchandise in one of their purses. The two attempted to leave the store without paying for the merchandise, the report states. The total amount of property stolen was $35.82. Citations were issued to both subjects.
*8:00pm-Brownwood police were called regarding an aggravated assault in the 2800 block of Southside. According to the report, the complainant reported that at approximately 5:00pm she and her husband were in a verbal argument when he pulled a knife out and put it against her throat. No arrest was made; however a report of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon was generated, the report states.
*11:54pm-Brownwood Police responded to a burglary of a habitation in the 1800 block of 8th Street. According to the report, the complainant noticed when he arrived home that one of his house cats was missing and that when looking for the cat, he found that an air conditioning unit had been taken from one of the bedroom windows.
*A Brown County Sheriff’s deputy was called to Healer Lane regarding an individual who was calling 911 for non-emergency information. According to the deputy’s report, on his way to the residence, he noticed a car parked on the roadway on Healer Lane. The passenger, 18-year-old Brittany Taylor Wigfield, had her door open and was vomiting, the report states. Investigation determined that both occupants had been to a party and were intoxicated, according to the report. An open container of alcohol was found along with other unopened cans of beer. The deputy arrested Taylor and the driver of the vehicle, 21-year-old Patrick Kelley Johnson, both charged with Public Intoxication.
*Early Police arrested 20-year-old Billy Moore of Terrell for Minor Driving Under the Influence, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, and Failure to Maintain Financial Responsibility.
*Early Police arrested 44-year-old James Allen Walters II for Driving with License Invalid with Previous Convictions.
Sunday, October 30
*3:30am-An observant Brownwood Police officer noticed an unknown pickup stop and park with their headlights off in the east alleyway of the 2600 block of Vincent. According to the report, the officer made contact with the occupants of the pickup, identified as 27-year-old Troy Ray Sutton and 27-year-old Carrie Ann Bloomer. Further investigation led to the arrest of both Sutton and Bloomer for the Possession of Marijuana less than 2 oz.
*4:51am-Brownwood Police were dispatched to an accident in the 800 block of Avenue G. Investigation led to the arrest of 22-year-old Sarah Lee Goodman for Driving While Intoxicated, according to the report.
*6:11pm-Brownwood Police were called to 401 W. Commerce regarding theft. According to the report, asset protection employees observed a female subject attempting to steal several times from the store. Total amount of items stolen were $17.21, the report states. The female was issued a citation for theft less than $50 and released.
All arrestees are considered innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
