Anna Boothe, age 92, of Brownwood passed away Thursday September 29, 2011 in Brownwood. Funeral services will be held at 2:00pm, Sunday, October 2, 2011, in the Davis-Morris Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow in the Erath Garden of Memory Cemetery in Stephenville. Visitation is scheduled for Saturday, October 1, 2011, at Davis-Morris Funeral Home, from 6:00pm until 8:00pm.
Anna Lou Boothe was born on May 6, 1919 in Dewey County, OK, to Isaac and Julia Ellis. She married Jack D. Boothe, on February 7, 1938 in Oklahoma. Anna has been a resident of the Brownwood area since 1983 and was a member of Austin Avenue Church of Christ. She loved her church dearly and a loyal member; always willing to help in one way or another. Anna enjoyed various hobbies; she was an avid reader and a wonderful seamstress. After Jack’s passing, Anna traveled with her daughter Rita to different places. One of Anna’s greatest joys was spending time with her grandchildren. She was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother and will be deeply missed by all that knew her.
Mrs. Boothe was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Jack D. Boothe, 2 sons; Clovis and Doil Boothe, 3 brothers, and 2 sisters.
Survivors include her 2 sons; Steve Boothe and wife Linda of Brownwood and Travis Boothe and Lydia of Plano, her daughter Rita Boothe of Dallas, 7 grandchildren; Leslie Kirwan and husband John of Auburn, MA, Brad Boothe and wife Alicia of Plano, Dustin Boothe of Austin, Danny,David,Lacey and Jack Boothe of Plano, and Ethan Boothe of Mansfield and numerous nieces and nephews.
