One of the newer events added to the Brownwood Reunion Celebration is the Cake-off competition.  In its second year, the Cake-off competition allows bakers to show off their skills in making appealing and delicious cakes.

In the competition, participating teams provide their own unfrosted, undecorated cakes and must decorate a themed cake in 4 hours, under the watchful eyes of judges and an audience.  Pre-made decorations were allowed, and the winning teams received cash prizes.

Seven teams participated in the Cake-off which took place in the Lehnis Railroad Museum on Saturday, September 17th.

The first place cake was awarded to Jessica Rudloff and Casey Moore (pictured at top).  Second place was given to the team of Autumn Hood and Mindy McAliley.  Third place was awarded to the sister team of Taylor and Ashley Combs.
