Charges of tampering with a government record and official oppression (2 counts) against suspended Brownwood Police officer Lt. Randall Krpoun were dropped on Friday in 35th District Court.  Brownwood Police Chief Mike Corley said that Special Prosecutor Rudy Taylor filed motions in court today requesting the charges be dropped which prompted a court order by Judge Stephen Ellis clearing Krpoun of all charges.

A mistrial was declared in March of 2010 when Krpoun was on trial for the two charges of official oppression after an incident at a local bar and grill in October 3, 2008.  Krpoun was suspended from the police force without pay when he was indicted on the charges.

Chief Corley said on Friday afternoon that no decision had been made regarding Krpoun’s status on the force pending official notification to the chief from the court.

In other court cases, District Attorney, Micheal Murray released information on several felony cases that were recently heard in Brown/Mills County District Court with Judge Stephen Ellis presiding.

Crystal Nell Horton, on probation for the felony offense of Arson was adjudicated and sentenced to 20 years, Texas Department of Criminal Justice, Institutional Division.  Further, Horton pled no contest to the felony offense of Bail Jumping and Failure to Appear and was sentenced to 5 years, Texas Department of Criminal Justice, Institutional Division.

Curtis Edward Odinot, pled guilty to the felony offense of Possession of a Controlled Substance and was sentenced to 10 years, Texas Department of Criminal Justice, Institutional Division.

Morgan Elise Ducay, on probation of the felony offense of Burglary of a Habitation was adjudicated and sentenced to 7 years, Texas Department of Criminal Justice Institutional Division.  Further, Ducay pled guilty to the felony offense of Theft over $1500 under $20,000 and was sentenced to 12 months, Texas Department of Criminal Justice, State Jail Division.

Victor Gutierrez Bastardo, pled guilty to the felony offense of Possession of a Controlled Substance with Intent to Deliver and was sentenced to 5 years, Texas Department of Criminal Justice, Institutional Division.

Jerrod Lynn Pannell, pled guilty to the felony offense of Sexual Assault of a Child and was sentenced to 5 years, Texas Department of Criminal Justice, Institutional Division.  Further, Pannell, on probation for the offense of Credit Card Abuse was sentenced to 12 months, Texas Department of Criminal Justice, State Jail Division.

 David Quinn Ynostrosa, Jr., pled guilty to the felony offense of Burglary of a Habitation and was sentenced to 4 years, Texas Department of Criminal Justice, Institutional Division.  Further, Ynostrosa, on probation for the felony offense of Assault Family Violence-Enhanced was revoked and sentenced to 4 years, Texas Department of Criminal Justice, Institutional Division.  Also, Ynostrosa, pled guilty to the state jail felony offense of Evading Arrest and was sentenced to 15 months, Texas Department of Criminal Justice, State Jail Division and was on probation for felony offense of Unauthorized Use of a Motor Vehicle and was revoked and sentenced to 15 months, Texas Department of Criminal Justice, State Jail Division.

Lanette Chrane Harlow, on probation for the felony offense of Aggravated Assault with Deadly Weapon was adjudicated and sentenced to 2 years, Texas Department of Criminal Justice, Institutional Division.

Bryan Thomas Calvert, pled guilty to the felony offenses of Theft under $20,000- Tubing Rods, Wire or Cable and Possession of a Controlled Substance and was sentenced to 20 months, Texas Department of Criminal Justice, State Jail Division in each case.

Jacob Lorenzo Ramirez, pled guilty to the felony offense of Unauthorized Use of a Vehicle and was sentenced to 15 months, Texas Department of Criminal Justice, State Jail Division

Jackie Lee Byrd, pled guilty to the felony offense of Possession of a Controlled Substance and was sentenced to 15 months, Texas Department of Criminal Justice, State Jail Division

Manuel De Jesus Basio, on probation for the felony offense of Evading Arrest was adjudicated and sentenced to 12 months, Texas Department of Criminal Justice, State Jail Division.

Taryn Leigh Edmondson, on probation for the felony offense of Abandoning or Endangering a Child was revoked and sentenced to 12 months, Texas Department of Criminal Justice, State Jail Division.

Jose Omar Sandoval, on probation for the felony offense of Delivery of Marijuana was adjudicated and sentenced to 10 months, Texas Department of Criminal Justice, State Jail Division.
