Sunday, June 19
*12:30am-A Brown County Sheriff’s Deputy observed a vehicle driving erratically on Hwy 279. The deputy stopped the vehicle, a black 2000 Cadillac Deville, and the driver, identified as Juan Zuniga, was arrested for Driving While Intoxicated and consented to a blood test.
Monday, June 20
*8:36pm-Brownwood Police responded to an assault that had already occurred in the 300 block of Center Avenue. A suspect has been identified; however no arrest had been made at the time of the report. The suspect was issued a Criminal Trespass Warning for the property where the assault occurred.
*8:54pm-Brownwood Police were called to 401 W. Commerce, Wal-Mart, regarding theft. The loss prevention employee reported that he had seen a woman take several cosmetic products from their packaging and place them into her purse. She then went to the checkout stand to purchase other items and attempt to leave the store concealing the items in her purse and making no attempt to pay for them, according to the report. She was stopped as she left the main store and was taken to the loss prevention office where she was detained until police arrived, the report states. She returned the items that were in her purse, was given a citation for Theft less than $50 and released at the scene.
*9:28pm-A Brownwood Police officer made a traffic stop due to a vehicle running a stop sign at the intersection of Bluffview and Santa Clara. The driver, identified as 22-year-old Chance Evans Watkins, was found to be driving with a suspended license and was unable to provide proof of insurance. Watkins was arrested for Driving While License Invalid and for Failure to Maintain Financial Responsibility.
*Brownwood Police arrested 34-year-old Pablo Enriques-Cabellero for Assault Causing Bodily Injury Family Violence and was held on an INS detainer.
Tuesday, June 21
*12:34am-Brownwood Police were called to an assault in the 2000 block of Austin Avenue. The 22-year-old victim claimed his 25-year-old friend had assaulted him when he found the victim scrolling through his text messages without permission. The victim was treated by EMS for cuts to his bottom lip.
All arrestees are innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
