Brownwood Fire Department responded to a house fire at the corner of 3rd Street and Avenue E Wednesday morning at approximately 1:30am.
According to Fire Marshal Buddy Preston, the home was burning with fire blowing out the back of the structure upon arrival. Another small structure, which faced Avenue E, was also involved.
Both structures were vacant and there were no injuries reported. The cause of the fire has not been determined and is still under investigation according to fire officials. The structures sustained extensive damage as a result of the fire.
