Graveside services for Claude Maedgen, 95, of Brownwood, Texas will be held 2 p.m. Tuesday, May 17, 2011 at Eastlawn Memorial Park with Rev. Roger Matthews officiating under the direction of Heartland Funeral Home.  She passed away Monday, May 16, 2011 at Brownwood Regional Medical Center.

Claude Lou Maedgen was born on August 22, 1915 in Winchell, Texas the only child to Arthur and Lucy Parker Jones.  She married Austin Maedgen  in Blanket, Texas on January 14, 1940 in Blanket.  Claude attended Daniel Baker College and retired from GTE in 1980. A lifetime resident of this area and was of the Baptist faith.   She enjoyed working with her hands and was a talented seamstress and artist.

Daughter:  Monette Grinstead and husband Gerald of  Brownwood

Granddaughter:  Monelle Manley and husband Tim of Brownwood

Great Grandchildren:  Teneal and Landon Hill of Brownwood; Trent Manley of  Stephenville

Preceeded in death by her parents and her husband.
