Brownwood Lions quarterback Graylon Brown has been picked as this weeks Gridiron Player of the Week as selected by a recent poll from TexasFootball.com
Brown has been a playmaker for the Lions all year, but he seems to be getting better and better as the season progresses.
In last week’s 61-20 win over Snyder, Brown had a game to remember. Brown passed for 367 yards and six touchdowns and also rushed for 72 yards and a touchdown as the Lions routed the team that appeared most likely to challenge them for the District 5-3A crown.
With the win, Brownwood kept its perfect record intact at 8-0 overall and 2-0 in district play. Brownwood is ranked No. 1 in the state in TexasFootball.com’s Class 3A rankings.
Brown surpassed 2,000 passing yards for the season with his performance against Snyder. Brown now has 2,076 yards, and perhaps more impressively, he has thrown for 27 touchdowns and only two interceptions. Brown, a 5-10 senior, also has rushed for 391 yards and six touchdowns this season.
