Howard Payne University senior Cody Hambrick was selected as a recipient of the 2010 Sigma Beta Delta International Business Honor Society Fellowship Award.
The SBD Fellowship Program awarded Hambrick a $1,000 Fellowship Award to recognize the academic excellence he has demonstrated in his business studies. Trissa Cox, associate professor of computer information services at HPU, serves as the honor society president at the university and nominated Hambrick for the award.
Hambrick is a business major specializing in finance. He is the son of Annette and Tony Davidson of Paradise, Texas.
HPU became a Charter Member of Sigma Beta Delta International Business Honor Society January 26, 1999. Today, more than 225 chapters have been established in 45 states and one chapter in the United Arab Emirates, the first international chapter. Sigma Beta Delta was established to honor students who have attained superior academic records in business programs in schools and colleges with regional accreditation. Membership is by invitation only to those students who are declared business majors, have completed 60 or more hours and rank in the upper 20 percent.
