Brownwood Lions quarterback and four sport athlete, Graylon Brown was selected as one of the six outstanding high school athletes to be honored as the Built Ford Tough Texas High School Football Players of the Week for week 2.
A 5’10” player weighing 170 pounds, Brown led Brownwood Lions to a 49-16 victory over Stephenville last week, throwing for 325yards and 6 touchdowns. It was a sweet victory for Brown after suffering a broken leg during last year’s rainy game against Stephenville, which took him out of play for the majority of the season.
Brown is outstanding in Baseball, basketball and track as well. Last year, he was an All-District pitcher-outfielder for the BHS baseball team as well as an outstanding point guard in basketball. A solid student in the classroom that is a member of the National Honor Society and FCA, he achieves scholastically as well.

- Class 4A: Johnny Manziel, QB-S, Kerrville Tivy High School
- Class 3A: Graylon Brown
- Class 2A: Ethan Morriss, QB, Sonora High School
- Class 1A: A. J. Garza, QB, La Villa High School
- Private Schools: Hayden Burnett, QB-S, Garland Christian Academy
Ford selects one player from each of the state’s athletic classifications weekly during the regular season of high school football. Being selected as a Built Ford Tough Texas High School Football Player of the Week honors the student athletes for their accomplishments on and off of the field.
