Girling

Girling Health Care, a Texas-based company that provides home health and personal care services in twelve states, announced today that it is expanding operations in Brownwood. The company previously offered only limited services in the area, but opened a full-service home health office in Brownwood on August 12, 2010 located at 2222 Hwy 377 at Centennial Point. Once fully staffed, the Brownwood office will have 12 employees.

“We’re excited to be better able to serve the Brownwood community with our expanded service offering,” Kelly Jalowiec, president of Girling Home Health, said. “We look forward to providing excellent home health care to seniors in Brownwood, enabling them to stay comfortably in their homes while receiving the medical care that they need.”

Girling’s services range from skilled nursing care to rehabilitation (including physical therapy) to medical social workers. The company provides patients with a variety of skilled services, as well as any additional personal care services they may require.

Girling Health Care is a subsidiary of Austin-based Harden Healthcare, which provides a continuum of healthcare services for seniors through its various companies. The service continuum includes home health, assisted living, skilled nursing, rehabilitation services, pharmacy services for long-term care facilities, specialized geriatric care and hospice.

On Thursday August 12th, the Brownwood Area Chamber of Commerce held a ribbon cutting ceremony for Girling Health Care to celebrate their expanded service.
