The West Texas Rehabilitation Center of Abilene is hosting its annual “Round-Up for Rehab” special event Wednesday at Adams Street Community Center.
Activities for this year’s Brownwood event will begin at 10am on Wednesday with a silent auction. A Rehab Chuckwagon hamburger meal will be served starting at 11:30am with the live auction following at 12:30pm headed up by auctioneer Rex Tackett.
Auction items, donated by local businesses, will be up for bid including jewelry, original art, quilts, arts & crafts, agricultural and general merchandise along with great baked goods and much more.
This fundraising event will go to benefit the West Texas Rehabilitation Center located in Abilene. The center is a private, non-profit 501(c)(3) corporation founded in 1953 as a treatment center for children with cerebral palsy. Today, their staff works together as an integrated team to provide a wide array of outpatient physical, communication, and hearing services to the thousands of children and adults across West Texas who are challenged by disabilities and/or disorders. The center’s philosophy of providing quality care regardless of the patient’s financial status distinguishes them from other providers of outpatient rehabilitation care.
