Gary Leon Williams age 64, of Trenton, formerly of Brownwood passed away Sunday July 18, 2010.  Funeral services will be held at 10:00am Saturday July 24, 2010 in the Davis-Morris Funeral Home Chapel.  Burial will follow at Greenleaf Cemetery.  Visitation will be held from 6:00pm until 8:00pm, Friday July 23, 2010 at Davis-Morris Funeral Home.

Gary was born December 23, 1945 in Austin, the son of Dorothy Glass Williams and Howard Leon Williams.  Mr. Williams attend school in Early, Texas and served in the United States Navy for three years.  He married Brenda Perry, the mother of his two daughters, in 1965.   He had a 35 year career as a truck driver, including 15 years with Western Extrusions, where he met Guadalupe Vila.  He and Lupe were married on September 2, 1995.

In 2000, Gary and Lupe moved to Trenton, where they were both active members of First Baptist Church and participated in the Abraham and Sarah Sunday school class.  Gary enjoyed mowing his acreage on his John Deere, listening to Jim Reeves music while drinking Dr. Pepper with peanuts, and having coffee with his buddies at Riverbend Café in Bonham.  He also enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren and Lupe’s family, and making people laugh.  He will be remembered as a very loving, caring, and sharing man.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Mr. Williams is survived by his wife Lupe, daughters; Terri Dawn Chavez of McKinney and Leonda Gayle and husband Jim Finn of Garland, sister Carolyn Ann Lester and husband Jerry of Lawton, OK, 11 grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers will be Daniel Chavez, Koby Pollone, Frank Vila, III, Paul Vila, Rick Vila, and Eugene Vila.

Memorials may be made to St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital.
