Berniece Ruth Perkins

BerniecePerkinsFuneral services for Berniece Ruth Perkins, age 88, of Early, will be at 10:00 AM, Saturday, June 12, 2010 in the Davis-Morris Funeral Home Chapel with Ryan Smithey officiating.  Burial will follow in Eastlawn Memorial Park.  The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Friday evening from 6:00 until 8:00.

Ms. Perkins passed away on Wednesday, June 9, 2010 at her home.

Berniece was born in Brownwood on November 15, 1921 to William and Mary (Andrews) Hutcherson.  She married Willard Perkins on January 31, 1942 in Yuma, Arizona.  Berniece worked as the store manager for S&H Green Stamps for 25 years.  She was a lifelong resident of Brown County and a member of the 4th & Stewart Church of Christ.

Berniece is survived by her son, Charley Perkins and wife Debbie of Early, a grandson, Bo Perkins and wife Melissa of Kingsland, Georgia, a granddaughter, Chaley Perkins of Brownwood, two great-grandchildren, Jacade and Haven Perkins of Kingland, Georgia, a sister, Patsy Anderson of Early, her three sisters-in-law, Lena Mae Willett of Brownwood, Betty Roark of Fort Worth, and Louise Lynch of San Angelo, and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Willard Perkins, a grandson, Jacade Perkins, a brother and her sisters.

The family requests that memorials be made to Cherokee Home for Children, PO Box 295, Cherokee TX, 76832.
