Parents of a 14-year-old girl called Brown County Sheriff’s deputies early Monday morning when they found 21-year-old Thomas Christopher Dean in their daughter’s closet.

According to the Sheriff’s report, the parents found Dean hiding in the closet after he snuck into the house through the girl’s bedroom window.  The parents told deputies that they have been having problems with Dean for about a year and that he has had a relationship with their daughter.  Dean was arrested in January by Brownwood Police and charged with Sexual Assault of a Child.

The report states that Dean told deputies that he did not see anything wrong with the age difference between him and the girl because he loves her.  Dean also told deputies that he came to the residence to check on the girl.

Dean was arrested and charged with Burglary of a Habitation with Intent to Commit a Sexual Offense and Criminal Trespass of a Habitation.  He is being held in the Brown County Jail on a total of $128,500 in bonds.
