Press Release – Cardiologist, Dr. Ahad Hassan, has joined the medical staff of Brownwood Regional Medical Center (BRMC). Dr. Ahad Hassan has been serving as a courtesy medical staff member at BRMC since September 2016.
As a member of the CardioSolution team of physicians, Dr. Hassan comes to Brownwood from the Georgia and Tennessee areas. He has a great deal of experience in peripheral vascular intervention, as well as in the primary and salvage angioplasty in treating chronic total occlusion, bifurcations lesions, vein graft disease and restenosis.
Dr. Hassan graduated from Allama Iqbal Medical College, Lahore, Pakistan and completed his Internal Medicine residency at Coney Island Hospital in Brooklyn, New York. He then completed his Cardiovascular Disease fellowship and his Interventional Cardiology fellowship at Maimonides Medical Center in Brooklyn, New York.
Dr. Hassan joins Dr. Sanjeev Ravipudi at Central Texas Heart and Vascular (CTHV), a new cardiology practice located in Brownwood. CTHV has teamed up with BRMC to provide much needed heart and vascular service options to the Brownwood community.

CTHV offers routine heart care, as well as 24/7/365 emergency cardiology catheterization services coverage at BRMC and soon the practice will have access to a newly equipped catheterization lab located within the Heart Center at BRMC.
Dr.Hassan is experienced in the use of distal protection devices, rotablator, IVUS, pressure wire, TPM and implantable loop recorder. He is board-certified in interventional cardiology, echocardiography, and nuclear cardiology and he is also Registered Physician Vascular Interpretation (RPVI) certified.
