SHARE Homeschool Graduation
Three Brown County residents celebrated their graduation Saturday morning during the joint SHARE homeschool graduation.
Rachel Cannon, Cassandra Goforth and Jesse Kimry celebrated their graduation ceremony at Adams Street Community Center with family and friends. Each of the girls’ families played a part in their education. Below are photos of each graduate along with their biography.
Rachel is the daughter of Hank and Melinda Cannon. She attended public and private schools until the end of high school when she was homeschooled. She attended Pre-K at East Elementary in Brownwood, Kindergarten through 10th grade at Trinity Christian Academy in Early and finished her junior and senior years with homeschooling.
Rachel plans to study nursing at Ranger College and has plans to become either a Physician’s Assistant or a doctor.
She enjoys Reading, camping, hiking, family game nights, scrapbooking and cooking.
Rachel studied pre-college music (piano) for 7.5 years at Howard Payne University and also through private lessons.
Cassandra is the daughter of Wayne and Gina Goforth. Her interests include being a 12-year 4-H member (9 years in Taylor County and 3 years in Brown County), cooking, and reading (especially Christian fiction). She currently works at Underwood's Cafeteria.
Cassandra plans to attend Texas Woman's University in the fall to study Nutritional Science.
Jesse Brooke Kimery is the daughter of Millard and Cindy Kimery and sister of Elin Kimery.
Jesse will be attending Rice University in Houston and majoring in either physics or mathematics.
Jesse Jesse enjoys reading, creative writing, hiking in state parks, listening to music, playing clarinet, interacting with the family’s numerous animals, and spending time with extended family.
SHARE (Supporting Homeschooling And Reaping Excellence) is a homeschool support group serving the Brown, Coleman, and Mills counties. Join SHARE for field trips, get-togethers, and help in the education process.
